As the founder of Her Site, Kas has spearheaded various projects, including multi-site developments and establishing a 120-place early learning centre. She noticed a stark gender imbalance in the industry, with no female construction workers. Initially met with skepticism and gender biases from her workforce, Kas realised these challenges reflected systemic issues in construction. Inspired by the Victorian government’s Women in Construction Strategy, supported by the Building Industry Consultative Council (BICC), Kas saw an opportunity to enhance women's participation and retention in construction. Driven by a vision to boost women's earning potential and foster inclusivity, she remains dedicated to transforming the industry.
